Description

Reeferman™ Genetics Tajikistani Kush

Tajakistani Kush is the real deal. With origins in the traditional hash making villages deep in the mountainous regions that border other noted countries of noted hash making history like Afghanistan and Pakistan. For growers this means literally thousands of years have been put into selecting only the best and most potent hash making plants from the genetics available in the region.

RMG Tajikistani Kush has been described by some as “the missing link” between Sativa and Indica cannabis varieties. The effects are happy, “up” and euphoric like a Sativa, accompanied by strong physical effects like an Indica. The plant’s natural growth traits also signify the unique qualities of this exceptional line of highly potent cannabis genetics. Limbs grow long, thin and upright in an irregular growth pattern. With more spacing between the buds than common with most Indica type plants that originate from neighboring Afghanistan. The individual buds develop like rows of frosted golf balls up and down the stems. While the top cola is usually a little bigger, RMG Tajikistani Kush buds are usually of very similar size up and down the entire length of the thin upright branches. As buds begin to gain weight and density, the branches tend to lean down. Opening the dense carpet of rounded buds and foliage to more light and air movement. This helps to produce rows of dense nugs with few hairs that are covered in a rich mat of resins.

RMG recommends pruning excess foliage after the fourth or fifth week of flowering to allow more light and air movement to reach all of the flowering sites. At the onset of full on budding following the transitional phase, it can appear that harvests may be light. However, patient growers will see the many widely spaced budding sites swell up giving way to tight and dense balls of gooey cannabis resin when given adequate care. By harvest, the branches may be sagging under their own weight of individual buds occurring along the entire length of formerly upright stems. For a good yield per plant, it’s worth investing some time in the vegetative growth phase. Although this variety will give you more growth after budding is triggered than most “Hash Plant” varieties. The thin and supple stems also lend themselves well to training and trellising, for example using SCRoG (Screen of Green) techniques. Plants are hardy and tolerate both hotter and cooler conditions fairly well. For best results, maintain fairly warm dark cycles through mid flowering. Begin decreasing dark cycle temperatures as maturity approaches to bring out the best in resin qualities and colorations.

Flavors and aromas will vary slightly with growing conditions. Although a sweet and pungent hashy bouquet with hints of berry is what is typically most detectable in a healthy harvest of RMG Tajikistani Kush. When smoked, a resinous sweet and hashy coating lingers on the palate followed by a deep and happy and stone, a very great all around smoke. Especially well suited to hash making or extractions. Water and fertilize sparingly and avoid setting pots on cold floors for best results, as she can be a little root sensitive. Be prepared to reap some unique, delicious and highly potent rewards about 9 weeks after initiating the budding cycle. Watch for excess humidity. She prefers steady humidity levels in the lower range, for example 40-65% relative humidity. Higher light levels, especially if supplied via full spectrum light sources will further increase density and resin production in the buds.

The seeds/plants weren't the easiest. Out of 6 seeds, 1 never popped, 1 sprouted but never broke out its shell, and 1 broke out but stopped growing at about 2inches tall. So only 50% success rate. They are sensitive to overwatering, and very very sensitive to nute burn. I love how much they branch out and that buds develop anywhere and everywhere. Lots of hash/resin. The effects are hard to explain; good balance of head and body. Lights, sounds, and perceptions enhanced, and kind of like a disassociation between body & mind at higher levels, best comparison I can make is old school Trainwreck. At lower doses, best way I can describe it is; not an overly energizing or inspiring daytime strain like some sativas, but wont bog you down like some indicas. Night use, its a strain that will let you better relax and enjoy an evening movie, not sleep through it.
