Description
An inbred old school cultivar from Colombia. For anyone who is thinking of trying their hand at growing a real sativa, I can’t recommend this one strongly enough.
The smokability and pleasure one gets from a classic tropical sativa is second to none. It’s more than worth the extra time they take to flower.
As with most landraces, the Black Colombians are very efficient and grow best if they are not overloaded with light or food.
There are 2 distinct phenotypes within this line.
One is a typical tall Christmas tree shaped tropical sativa. The other is similar but only half the size and has a tighter and more “modern’ bud structure.
Both take the same time to flower.
Flowering Time: 95 to 110 days.
Yield: Average to very good.
Height: The smaller phenos stretch about 100% while the taller types stretch 3 to 4 times. They are best flowered at the 3rd or 4th set of leaves.
Aroma: The primary aroma is chocolate/coffee. Then comes menthol and various types of tropical fruit like banana and orange. There is also some black pepper.
Effect: Energetic, pain relieving, trippy, introspective and dreamy.
