Harlequin x Sour Skunk
This is our first high-CBD offering, and it is suitable for outdoor and indoor growing. It is a cross of mostly sativa strains, but the plant structure can range from small to medium indoors and the branching and node length are more like an indica. Given enough growing medium and time, they can get very tall.
The ancestry includes Harlequin, Strawberry Cough, and Sour Skunk, crossed in multiple lines and then inbred. The buds are chunky, resinous, and typically easy to trim. There is some variation in phenotypes with almost all qualifying as keepers. The smell and taste are mostly musky or skunky combined with sweet, sour, or candy. The Christmas tree shaped plants branch a lot but with enough bud density to make them high producers. This requires using stakes or other methods to keep heavy branches from straining or falling over towards late flowering. They should be allowed to add weight in the later weeks and fully ripen. They will also benefit from the topping, tying or supercropping of the main stem prior to flowering, in order to allow branches to extend up rather than sideways.
These seeds will produce 100% high-CBD plants with usually between a 1:1 and 2:1 ratio of CBD:THC, ideal for people avoiding the psychoactive effects of THC. This combination of CBD and THC is seen as desirable for many conditions. It is also useful for mixing with high-THC bud, to offset THC’s side effects such as memory loss and confusion or prevent the burn-out, lethargy, or physical dysphoria that can follow smoking too much strong weed.
